Alzheimers

If your parents are still with you, please take a moment to hug them, hold them, and tell them how much you love them and how important they have been to you.   Don't wait - there may come a day when they just don't comprehend.  And please say a quiet prayer for those who are facing the loss of life as it was once known.

Hello Journey,
What a coincidence you visited me today so I could find you! Yes my Dad is suffering from beginning stages of Alheimers as well and it is so upsetting to me and my family. My Mom and sister do most of the care giving. They are all living in Florida and it's so hard for me to be away from home. Sigh.

Thank you very much for posting this and for your kind words today. I really appreciate it!

Many Blessings. ~Melissa :)

-sigh- One of those things we don't want to contemplate. With me, it's not with parents. My husband and I are quite along in years, so it's more ourselves we [could] worry about.

Thank you for coming to my new blog Gals With Grandmother Faces and joining in the comment/chat. I hope this blog continues to strike a chord with we older gals. :-)

And thank you so much for not making us do Word Verification, in order to comment here! I am making a list of all the lovely gals in Blog Land, who do not make us do Word Ver.! And I think I will only follow them!!!!! :-)

Yes, I dislike Word Ver, that much. ,-))))

My MIL has Alzheimers and I am so thankful she has reached a stage where she is now calm. She doesn't always know who I am but she does know me like a baby would know his mom.
